List of changes and improvements in Akvelon Global Search

Global Search for Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0

The following is a list of improvements made in v. 2.0:

  • Full integration with Dynamics CRM (no separate virtual directories are required)
  • Global Search doesn’t need additional authentication (Dynamics CRM authentication is used)
  • Full support for searching custom entities
  • Search performance improvements
  • Support of multiple organizations in Dynamics CRM
  • Support of clustered deployments
  • Support of hosted Dynamics CRM scenarios
  • Ability to assign user groups which can access Global Search in Dynamics CRM
  • Improved search algorithm
  • Settings to configure the maximum number of return records
  • Many improvements based on feedback from our customers

The following is a list of improvements made in v. 2.5.1:

  • Ability to search attachment contents (the following file formats are supported: .doc, .docx, .xls, .xlsx, .pdf, .ppt, .rtf, .txt, .xml, .pdf, .csv and .zip)
  • Custom entity search (Search by lookup fields)
  • Displays related entities for many-to-many (N:N) relationships
  • Improved performance of column filtering
  • Many improvements based on feedback from our customers

The following is a list of improvements made in v. 2.5.2:

  • Implemented SQL Instance selection for Global Search Backend
  • New types of fields can be added to "Attributes to Display" Tab: Boolean, DateTime, Decimal, Float, Integer, Money, State, Status
  • States to search by was implemented
  • Improved attachment indexing algorithm

  • Ability to enter the SQL server instance name manually

The following is a list of improvements made in v. 3.0.0:
